Jamboree Bazaar at Holiday Inn Dubai – Al Barsha …. A Humanitarian Initiative

23 November 2012 | Social

It is good to see industry leaders pitching in for humanitarian causes and taking initiatives towards Corporate Social Responsibility. The recent initiative taken by Holiday Inn Dubai – Al Barsha is quite commendable. This hospitality leader has pledged to feed a minimum of 100,000 children by the end of this year in support for the United Nations World Food Program. And to accomplish this goal, the hotel organised a Jamboree Bazaar about 10 days ago, where many other partners also participated and came forward for the cause including Dubai International Women’s Club (DIWC).

Nowadays, it is not easy to find such responsible corporate giants who work towards causes like these to raise awareness of the hungry children in the world. The good part was that the event was successful in generating enough to feed a total of 85,772.05 for a day, combined with the funds that the staff had raised.

The enthusiasm of the host must have been doubled with the generosity in the donations received both in cash and in kind, and because of the open-hearted participation showed by people in this fete hosted by Holiday Inn Dubai – Al Barsha. The service offered by all the staff members, regardless of their official designation and position, was the icing on the cake.

The idea of raising awareness through a fun-filled event like Jamboree Bazaar with a special Food Court, featuring diverse international, Indian and Arabic cuisines, was truly attractive for people of all ages. This was also accompanied with music and dance events.

The hotel calls this as ‘Holiday Inn Dubai, Loves You Campaign’ which was initiated in 2007 and is devoted to developing a self-contained civil society in the UAE. The campaign also involves the aim of extending a helping hand to the worldwide victims of ecological calamities, political & economic crises, etc. Their other such charitable programmes including tea parties for children with special needs, Iftar for orphans and under privileged children, and various marathons are a few of their significant initiatives for compassionate causes.
