Colleagues Through a Friendly Billiard Tournament Generated a Donation to Feed Hungry Children for a Day in Philippines

HILUC ‘s initiative for 2013, is to Support UN World Food Programme in their noble cause of Feeding Hungry Children in Philippines.

The billiard tournament held at hotel staff accommodation last month generated a donation to feed almost 400 hundred children for a day.

Participants competed in a friendly but furious match knowing that they were helping to feed the hungry with their entry contributions.

Rajkumar Baniya , from  the Housekeeping department was the proud winner, who states  “ I am very proud to be the winner of this billiard  tournament  but even more proud knowing that the joint efforts of all the competitors won some sustenance for the under -poverished. We are proud to be working for Holiday Inn Dubai – Al Barsha who helps to look after the needs of others through the Holiday Inn – Dubai  “Loves You Campaign”

Roxana Jaffer, the campaign initiator acknowledged the efforts of all the participants, and congratulated RajKumar in his victory and reminded him of the lofty words of Prophet Mohammed: (PBUH)  “Life isn’t worth living unless it’s lived for someone else” and stated ” You have indeed won this wonderful game, the victory is definitely yours, but the beneficiaries are the 400 hungry children of Philippines, for whom you have spent this wonderful evening. Bravo.”
