Holiday Inn Dubai – Al Barsha (HIAB) Embraces Ramadan by supporting SNF (Special Needs Future Development Center.)


The Holiday Inn Dubai – Al Barsha hosted its annual corporate Iftar by inviting children and the families from SNF (Special Needs Future Development Center) to celebrate Iftar with people from the mainstream in 5 Star surroundings.

The Iftar began with recitation of the Qur’an by one of the students. The evening developed as these challenged but beautiful children mixed with other guests sending a message, that despite their shortcomings they were pursuing normality by taking up hobbies like photography, computer studies or singing and enjoyed being pampered like any other child.





Ramadan being a time to indulge in acts of charity, kindness and benevolence and as part of the hotel’s CSR initiative endeavour, ‘Holiday Inn Dubai Loves U Campaign’ incepted 8 years ago in its drive to make the world a better place for all, have invited orphans, children with special needs, or labourers from Dubai’s society ..

Further, ‘Embracing Ramadan’ the annual event in the diary of the Holiday Inn Dubai has a unique appeal. During the month with every Iftar booking the hotel pledges to feed 4 hungry children in the world, supporting the goal of United Nations, World Food Programme. for ‘zero hunger’.

This is a continued commitment by ‘Holiday Inn – Dubai – Loves You Campaign’ pledged by the hotel’s CEO Roxana Jaffer, who states: “Generosity is considered to be a basic tenet of Islam and in the month of Ramadan it is in keeping that we shares its abundance and blessings with needy each year through our CSR initiative and invite you to ‘Break your fast with us and help to feed the needy.’ “It takes only one dirham to provide a meal to a child for a day.” During this holy month, the hotel will donate a dollar from the revenue generated from every Iftar served at The Gem Garden.”

Holiday Inn Dubai – Al Barsha launched the “Loves You Campaign” in 2007 is unique in its appeal that all members of the staff, regardless of rank, color or creed, come together to achieve its objectives. The backdrop being Prophet Mohammed’s (PBUH) words ‘Life is only worth living if lived for someone else’ helps to inculcate an ethos of giving of themselves, of putting another person’s needs before oneself, that in turn reflects into service accorded to the guest that in turn helps to deliver the business objectives. Since the beginning of campaign, the hotel staff have triumphantly held numerous awareness and fund-raising drives thus providing, in their own small way, to building civil society in the UAE whilst aiding the needy.

Our goal for 2016 is to support emergency food assistance in most needed countries. In – house guests can help us to feed starving children around the world by making a voluntary donation of AED5 upon check-out to feed 5 hungry children.


In 2015 we had emergency food assistance delivered to 8199 people affected by the Nepal Earthquake & 5220 people affected in Pakistan Earthquake. We provided 66000 packs of food for over 16500 families of the Syrian refugees. Till now we donated 15009 school meals around the world.
