Holiday Inn Dubai – Al Barsha Celebrates Service
As part of the ‘Celebrate Service Week’ held from June 09 to 13, Holiday Inn Dubai Al Barsha recognised staff achievements and thanked each and every one of the 261 people who work at the hotel. From chefs to concierges, housekeeping to hotel management, each staff member was feted.
The ‘Celebrate Service Week’ is an initiative launched by IHG (InterContinental Hotels Group) and its Owners’ Association, the IAHI, designed to give back to their people who work tirelessly every day to keep guests happy. It was dedicated to celebrating the 345, 000 people who work across the Group’s 4,400 hotels, including the Holiday Inn Dubai – Al Barsha.
The event was a true celebration of gratefulness and appreciation. Holiday Inn Dubai – Al Barsha’s associates transformed themselves into a team of Blue decorating the workplace with signs of gratitude. During the week entire management team demonstrated their admiration in a number of ways to the surprised and overwhelmed associates of the hotel.
Starting the week with delighting lunch the associates were treated with delicacies and a special celebrate service cake saying thank you to all. It was followed by a photo shoot where the team in blue was shot in the shape of “Star” representing the 5th Star of hotel tagline “The 4Star Hotel with The 5Star Look”
Mrs. Salima Hussaini, Director of HR and Training said: “It is important for the entire staff to realize that their commitment is appreciated. These events are one way of saying that their hard work has not gone unnoticed. Celebrate Service Week is our chance to join forces with all the other Holiday Inn hotels around the world to rejoice with our people and honour their dedication.”
Second day of the week came with an adventures Dune bashing trip to Desert Safari. The associates were treated with a ride in the outback’s of Dubai dessert followed by a traditional dinner. The treat ended with a sensational belly dancing performance.
Third and Fourth day of the week took associates to exhilarating rides of Ferrari World where they shouted their lunges out on the world’s fastest roller coaster. They were amazed by the thrilling experience each ride brings.
The week came to an end with an appreciation tea break at “Rainbow” colleagues canteen, followed by a final trip to fun filled Wonderland Theme Water Park. The associates enjoyed the day with different rides and escaped the heat while having a dip.
Around the world there are hundreds of thousands of people working in Holiday Inn, Holiday Inn Express, InterContinental, Crowne Plaza, Staybridge Suites, Candlewood Suites and Hotel Indigo hotels.
