Huge fireworks displays have been announced in celebration of the 47th UAE National Day
Every year, UAE National Day falls on Sunday 2nd December – and for 2018, the country and its residents will be celebrating 47 years since the United Arab Emirates was united.
There’s going to be some BIG celebrations this December for UAE National Day…
Besides two days public holiday for workers in the emirate, Dubai will be putting on a grand display of parties, festivities and fireworks displays in honour of the occasion.

For this year’s celebrations, several fireworks displays will be held across the weekend and here’s a round-up of the biggest fireworks displays in Dubai you shouldn’t miss…
1. Dubai Festival City Mall
• Date(s): Sunday 2nd December, 2018
• Timing(s): 8pm and 10pm
• Location: Festival Bay, Dubai Festival City Mall
Fireworks lovers will be treated to not just one, but two fireworks shows for UAE National Day at Dubai Festival City Mall. Two dazzling shows will be held at 8pm and 10pm in the area’s Festival Bay – alongside the spectacular IMAGINE show.
The state-of-the-art show will reflect the colours, spirit and heritage of the nation. With choreographed laser, water and lights alongside the fireworks displays – Festival City is the place to be this UAE National Day.
Festivities will be taking place from 1pm until late – as the mall’s leading retail stores will have incredible sales that you can take advantage of, too!
2. The Beach in JBR
• Date(s): Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd December, 2018
• Timing(s): 8pm
• Location: The Beach, JBR
On Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd December, residents in the surrounding areas of JBR, Dubai Marina and JLT will be able to enjoy the popular fireworks display at The Beach. As part of a huge UAE National Day schedule of fireworks along Dubai’s coast – Al Seef and La Mer included – fireworks at The Beach will begin at 8pm on both days.
Not only that but live performances of Al Ayallah traditional dances will entertain crowds from November 30th until December 2nd from 6pm onwards each night. Young visitors will be able to grab a selfie with roaming mascots, plus restaurants and retail outlets in the area will have great discounts and offers you can avail in celebration of UAE National Day.
3. Al Seef, Dubai Creek
• Date: Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd December, 2018
• Timing: 8.30pm
• Location: Al Seef, Dubai Creek
One of three places to watch huge UAE National Day fireworks in Dubai this year is at Al Seef, Dubai Creek.
The Dubai attraction, rooted with culture and heritage of the UAE is probably one of the most suitable locations in the city to commemorate UAE National Day. With its charming atmosphere, distinct heritage and contemporary areas – watch the Dubai Creek’s skies light up with grand fireworks this December. The fireworks display starts at 8.30pm on both dates.
4. La Mer Dubai
• Date(s): Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd December, 2018
• Timing(s): 9pm
• Location: La Mer Dubai
To round-up the fireworks displays this UAE National Day, La Mer Dubai will be the third of several shows in Dubai this December. Starting at 9pm on both dates, it’s the perfect place to head to for families and residents wishing to join in the celebrations who live in this area of the city.
