The airport is in the shape of a donut or satellite and has 24 aircraft stands, 2 cargo terminals, 5 baggage claim belts and two parallel runways.

Abu Dhabi airport

The international airport covers 90 countries and easily caters to 40 passenger airlines. The facilities at the airport include coffee shops, a golf course, car parking, restaurants, VIP lounge, duty-free shopping, and a health club. Abu Dhabi International airport is divided into three operational passenger terminals. Spread over an area of 60 sq km, the terminal spaces of this airport are dominated by Etihad Airways.

Dubai International Airport- DXB/OMDB

Dubai International Airport is the Middle East’s aviation hub and lives impeccably up to the glam and glitz of Dubai. Originally set up in the late 1930s, the giant-size airport is situated between Garhoud District and Al Twar District and a leading air gateway to the UAE (United Arab Emirates). The international airport is equipped with 3 terminals and the fourth one is planned to be inaugurated later this year. All the terminals are an excellent specimen of contemporary architecture. Dubai Airport has two runways which were extended to house the Airbus A380.

Officially tagged as Dubai World Central (DWC), Al Maktoum Airport was inaugurated on 27th June 2010 and tipped to be the busiest and largest airport on the planet. When operating at utmost capacity, DWC could see approximately 160 million travelers through its gates every year. Dubai’s second largest airport is a tactical step of the Dubai Government and a master-planned aerotropolis allowing the Dubai economy to swell up at a good pace. The airport is located in New Dubai and has one runway, which is 4.5 km long.

Dubai World Central is a feat of logistics and engineering, and planned by experts as the biggest passenger aircraft hub and largest cargo in the world. The airport is still under construction with execution expected to end by 2017. If completed as planned, the airport will have an annual passenger capacity of more than 160 million passengers and cargo capacity of 12 million tonnes. The airport will also have five parallel runways, lavish shopping malls, multiple concourses; three terminals for passengers, royal jet centres, sixteen cargo terminals and much more.

Named after the previous ruler of Dubai, Sheik Maktoum Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the giant airport is close to many tourist and business attractions.

Sharjah International Airport- SHJ

Sharjah International Airport was established in the year 1977 and connects Dubai to other key cities across the globe. The airport is conveniently situated 15 km from the emirate of Dubai and 10 km from Sharjah’s City Centre. It is also a few kilometers away from Ras Al Khaimah, Umm al Quwain, Northern Emirates of Ajman and Fujairah. Since 1977, the international airport has been a main gateway of travel through the United Arab Emirates, servicing a heavy volume of traffic from regional as well as international destinations.

The airport covers an area of 38,678,900 sq ft and has one passenger terminal and one runway. Today the Sharjah international airport has the capacity to accommodate a levitating number of regional and international carriers both. The airport became the official hub of Air Arabia in the year 2003. Positioned eighteen km from the city, the airport brags a 3,760 meters long landing strip and has the potential to handle the largest aircraft presently in service. Being tactically situated amid the West and the East, Ras AI Khaimah airport serves as one of the major hubs to travelers from the Indian Subcontinent, Africa, Middle East, and Europe.
